Informative note about personal data treatment according Italian law

As per the Italian Legislative Decree n. 196 of June 30, 2003 (“Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali”, law on protection of personal information – full text in Italian as a set of HTML pages, or in English as a PDF document) and following modifications and integrations, the following information is provided:

Transmitted personal information may be registered on paper or in electronic form, in full respect of the law, protected and not accessible to the public.

Personal data are treated for the following purposes:
a) run activities and operations related to this site;
b) inform about such activities and possible initiatives;
c) comply with obligations stated by law or by competent authorities.

Personal data will be communicated only to natural persons or legal entities that, in or on behalf of the data controller (the person who is collecting the data), perform specific processing services or activities related to or supporting this site (e.g. an accountant).
In no other case personal data will be disclosed to third parties, unless the controller has been explicitly authorized to share them with third parties, or must comply to a written order by judicial authorities.

In accordance with the law, the data subject (the person whom data refer to) can exercise the following rights:
a) to obtain at any moment:
a1) confirmation on whether or not personal data concerning him or her exist, even not yet recordered, and communication of such data and their source in intelligible form;
a2) updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of such data;
a3) erasure, anonymization or blocking of such data, if processed unlawfully or whose retention is unnecessary;
a4) certification that the operations as per letters a2) and a3) have been notified, also regarding related contents, to the entities to whom data were communicated or disseminated;
b) to object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him or her;
c) to object to the processing of such data, if carried out for the purpose of sending advertising materials, direct selling, or performing market or commercial surveys;
d) to know the identity of the data controller and processor as per Section 4(1) letters f) and g) of the law, of the entities or categories of entities whom data may be communicated to, or who may get to know them.

The aforementioned rights may be exercised making a request to the controller or processor through this site.
